All potato all the time: the incredible edible potato diet.

by Chris on October 1, 2010

Starting today, October 1st, and for the next 60 days, Chris Voight, head of the Washington state Potato Commission, will be on a strict diet of 20 potatoes a day in order to prove the spunky spud is is not junk food. You can visit his site & follow along at 20 potatoes a day.

Well, we already know it can be done and for a year even as these two posts over at Matt Metzgar’s site show:

The All Potato Diet II

The All Potato Diet

Personally, I would’ve liked to seen someone eat an all sweet potato diet. Maybe one day I’ll attempt it for the benefit of my readers.

Also, if interested, Stephan Guyenet has started writing a series of posts on his Whole Health Source website about potatoes and human health: here and here

A rival to CastleGrok’s 20 bananas a day.
