The Longevity Project

Came across this recent article on a study known as The Longevity Project. Researchers followed over 1500 kids from 1921 until death to figure out what contributes to longevity. Some of the results are surprising such as the happiest kids ended up dying the youngest. This is the money quote:

“Some of the minutiae of what people think will help us lead long, healthy lives, such as worrying about the ratio of omega-6 to omega-3 fatty acids in the foods we eat, actually are red herrings, distracting us from the major pathways,”
